What's New at Soulgood
SUPER POWER MIX MENU
Soulgood Express in Frisco, Houston and Dallas (food truck) will offer a new Super Power Mix and Match menu designed to focus on boosting your mind, body and soul through our vegan super bowls, burritos, tacos, desserts and cold pressed juices. We have designed nutrient rich menu items that focus on ingredients that optimize your mental and physical performance with Chef Cynthia's famous spin on flavors from Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Asia, Cuba, Kenya, Europe and more. Don't worry some of your favorite American breakfast items will still be available such as our buttermilk biscuits, breakfast tacos, and fluffy waffles. We're just offering less processed third-party ingredients and more food from the Earth. The website updates are almost complete and we can't wait for you to try the new menu items and activate your super powers. We want your experience with us to be joyful, extraordinary and memorable. We want your body to feel amazing and your performance to be enhanced. Houston will re-open in July after we train our new culinary team. Stay tuned...
Chef Cynthia will be headed to Flavortown this August. Chef, as usual, was a hilarious hot mess and you don't want to miss it. We'll see if she had what it took to impress restauranteur, Guy Fieri. Let's just say she got a big hug from the legend. I think he'll remember her for a long time. Stay tuned for more.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN DENTON
Soulgood will not return to the Texas Woman's University campus incubator this Fall. Why you ask? Our Denton sales dropped 80%, costs rose 300%, and we had to decide what was mutually best for the company and partners. We had an extraordinary ride on campus, the food was amazing but student debt and tightening in the economy has led to many changes in the restaurant industry. We love each other and we are forever grateful for the opportunity to test our model in a beautiful space at Chef Cynthia's alma mater. We love the students, faculty, community and appreciate the faithful customers like Kelly, Eric, Chancellor Carine M.Feyten, Ph., Daniel, Karina, PJ and so so so many others. Many financial factors are impacting the restaurant industry and business owners have to make tough decisions. You understand that - we are all following what is happening. Many restaurants have closed but we have decided streamlining is key to sustainability and thus we'll focus now on our Frisco and Dallas operations. We will also introduce more social impact work in the community to improve the health of our customers and to save the planet. Our mission remains intact and we welcome your support to help us keep going to fulfill it. Our address and hours of operation at other locations can be found here. If you've purchased a gift card they can still be used at our Frisco location (on our website only not Kitchen United) and at the Dallas food truck. If you have a challenge applying it online just simply call the location or chat with us online. We will always answer.
COMMUNITY IMPACT ACTIVITIES
This fall we will introduce more ways to volunteer through our Soulgood Cares social impact initiatives. We know many children do not have adequate nutrition nor meals, cancer diagnoses are on the rise, hypertension and heart disease are now impacting more people, and obesity is causing healthcare costs to skyrocket. A vegan lifestyle may not cure all but it is a great start to impacting change. We're partnering with two nonprofit organizations, Crossroads and The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation, in the Fall to make a difference in 2023 - 2024. We hope you join the team and donate to the cause. Want to volunteer?
